Marine transportation is one of the important parts of the national transportation system which is the foundation for access to economic equality in Indonesia. On the island of Saparua before 2012 there are two ports, namely the crossing port located in the village of Kulur and also the port of the ship that is located in the village of Haria. Starting from 2012 until now built a port in the village Tuhaha. By looking at these conditions, it is necessary to study the level of service and use of the dock, which is on the harbor Haria. This study uses Berth Occupation Ratio (BOR) method in determining the percentage level of dock utilization at Haria port. The data required for the calculation in this method is obtained by collecting data from the transportation ministry of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, the Tulehu UUP office of Saparua working area, and from the direct research in the field.
Based on the BOR value obtained from the calculation of Berth Occupation Ratio (BOR) in 2017 was 105.97%, has exceeded the capacity of the port of Haria. and the rate of use of the Haria port is ineffective according to the recommended percentage value of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development).
