Abstract

Population growth and the fulfillment of high needs cause people to carry out movement activities. In doing so a stop for parking is required. The road intersection next to the study location is between Jalan Jendral Sudirman and Kebun Cengkeh road. There is often a queue of vehicles, not to mention added by side barriers such as parking vehicles on roads and roads. The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of the Park Hotel Santika Premiere and Ambon Manise Square

The method of data collection is done by direct research in the field to obtain data on the number of vehicles parked, vehicle parking duration and the number of SRPs available, then from the data analyzed to obtain parking volume, parking accumulation, parking duration, turnover, parking index and parking requirements

The results of the analysis obtained the largest volume of cars of 276 vehicles, motorcycles of 122 vehicles. The highest accumulation of cars is 63 vehicles, motorbikes are 64 vehicles. The longest duration of car parking is 120.77 minutes, motorbikes are 306.71 minutes. The biggest car turnover rate is 1.76 vehicles / day / space, motorcycle 0.96 vehicles / day / space. The biggest parking index for cars is 95.24%, motorbikes are 90.00%. The need for the largest parking space is 33 SRP, motorbike 37 SRP
